Die Schwarze Sonne

Occult (villains) - Nazi Occultism. This is Die Schwarze Sonne (Max Ernsthausen). Claiming to be a direct descendant of the lost civilization of Ultima Thule, Ernsthausen menaces the world through his power over Vril energy, Odic Force, and secret knowledge given to him by Nordic aliens from the Aldebaran system.

This character covers the pre-WWII racist pan-Germanic occultist groups like Theozoology, The Order of the New Templars, Ariosophy, the Thule Society, and the probably mythical Vril Society - as well as proponents of Neo-Nazi mysticism such as Robert Charroux, Miguel Serrano, and the Nazi UFO cult Tempelhofgesellschaft. The Black Sun, although somewhat based on a symbol used in Nazi Germany, is itself a post WWII symbol. 

The "Occult origins of the Nazi Party" is a popular concept in pop-culture, and sensationalist books and documentaries. It's pretty overblown, though there are some scant links. A few members of the Nazi Party had been members of the Thule Society, and Himmler was also interested in the occult. Also, the aforementioned Order of the New Templars was the first to use the swastika in the modern sense.
