Description
Felt like making another map, so I whipped this one off. My conception of some areas is still hazy, so consider this a work in progress.
The continents of Fictional Earth are:
North America, including its Brobdingnag peninsula.
South America - including Utopia and surrounding lands.
Africa
Europe
Asia
Australia
Antarctica -
The North Pole - which includes Ultima Thule; Hyperborrea; a land of 4-foot Pygmies, possibly related to the dwarfs of Niðavellir; and several other locations.
Hélène - an artificial continent constructed in 1952 in the French novel The Twentieth Century (written in 1883)
The Edge of the World - the land mass that surrounds Terra Cognita - or the lands we know
Yhtill - the setting of Lord Dunsany's Gods of Pegana stories, as well as a few Lovecraft entires written in immitation of him
Jotunheim - the land of the Frost Giants
Asgard - realm of the Æsir gods
Vanaheim - realm of the Vanir gods.
Niðavellir - home of the Dwarfs
The Land of Romance - the setting of most of our Fairy Tales and Fantasy Fiction
Faerieland - the land of Elves and Fairies
The Empire of Fables - a collection of large islands populated by fantastic creatures (from the 17th century French sequel to Lucian's True History)
And the Greek Afterlife, made up of the Isle of the Blessed and Tartarus
Nonestica - the setting of the Wizard of Oz books
There is also a large crack in the ocean mentioned by Lucian, which I've combined with the crack in Edge of the World mentioned by Lord Dunsany
EDIT:
Someone asked about how climate would work in this world. Well, it's a bit random, being in a universe governed by magic, gods, and silly pseudoscience. There are wind gods from various mythologies governing such things. There are also numerous wormholes around Earth connecting certain regions to other worlds, realities, and even other locations on Earth. I imagine these would take in and expel heat.
